Hidden in the forest in the heart of the Dordogne, yet barely two hours from Paris by high-speed train, the Studio du Maine Noir is a haven of peace: a singular place to settle in to write, record and experiment.
An analogue laboratory, it was designed as a place for discovery and experimentation, far from calibrated commercial studios. Here, we have time, and we take our time.
Behind the console
The studio was founded by Pamela Hute, producer and musician. After fifteen years as an artist (two albums on Tôt ou Tard, the Olympia, the Bataclan, records made with John Agnello and Jay Pellicci), she produces, arranges, records and mixes other artists’ records, from the first demo to the finished record.
